Walk and Talks: A monthly walking series to move and enlighten you. All walks begin at 9:30am and are between 2-4 miles in length. Please know your fitness level prior to attending and bringing water is encouraged. Walk is determined by weather so please check social media/website prior to walk.

11.27.21 Certified Optimize Coach Tom Hart will lead a walk starting on the north end of Ridge Ferry Trail focused on the 7 habits of balanced living and how to incorporate them into your life. Park and gather in the State Mutual Parking Lot behind the Braves Stadium.

1.1.22 Start the New Year off right with the 3rd Annual First Day Hike at Lock and Dam Park. Gather for a self-led hike at 11am (note different time) followed by a hot dog lunch with all the fixin’s ($5 donation) at the Coosa River Trading Post. 181 Lock and Dam Road.

2.26.22 TRED will lead the annual Heart of the Community Heart Walk at Ridge Ferry Park/ECO Center celebrating the unsung heroes in Rome and Floyd County. The program starts at 9:30 and the walk begins at 10am.

3.26.22 Walk and Talk with TRED on the Kingfisher Trail and bring a friend who has never been to the Trail! Learn what exciting projects are on the horizon and how you can get involved. Gather in the SunTrust Bank parking lot off East 1st Street.

4.30.22 No Walk and Talk due to Up the Creek Bike Ride but come to the Town Green and cheer on the cyclists as they roll down Broad Street at 8am to start their rides!

5.28.22 Come get a sneak peak of the currently under-construction Redmond Trail Connection and depending on construction, we will walk the Avenue A/Levee Trail or the Mt Berry Trail. Park and gather at the trailhead behind the Post Office.

6.25.22 Mystery walk and talk...stay tuned for more details closer to the date.
